Brooxie Lea Boyd Wilkins

Brooxie Lea Boyd Wilkins, 94, of Parsons, passed away Thursday, Feb. 3, 2022 at Jackson Madison County Hospital in Jackson, Tenn.

Mrs. Wilkins was born July 22, 1927 to the late Roy and Clora Boyd. She was married to the late Vernal Wilkins in 1946 and they shared 48 years of marriage together. Mrs. Wilkins as a member of Bear Creek Baptist Church in Parsons. Mrs. Wilkins has been described by her family as the most caring and giving of person. Her laughter and smile were contagious and if you had the privilege of knowing her you knew she had made the world a better place.

She is survived by her sister, Emma (Roy) Montgomery of Lexington, Tenn.; sister-in-law, Bettie Boyd of Parsons; nieces, Tina (Marty) Carrington of Parsons and Deanna Montgomery of Lexington, Tenn.; nephews, Kevin (Joy) Montgomery of Lexington, Tenn. and Ricky (Suzye) Montgomery of Lexington, Tenn.; great-nieces and nephews, Lucinda Carrington of Parsons, Justin Montgomery of Lexington, Tenn., Jessica Montgomery of Lexington, Tenn. and Anna Montgomery of Martin, Tenn.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Clora Boyd of Parsons; brother, Roy Boyd Jr. of Parsons and a very special friend, Troy Rhodes of Parsons.

Visitation with the family will be held Saturday, Feb. 5, 2022 from 11 a.m. until time of funeral service. Services will be held on Saturday, Feb. 5, 2022 at 2:30 p.m. at Parsons Mortuary Chapel with burial to follow at Bear Creek Cemetery in Parsons with Dr. Marty Comer officiating.

In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to St. Jude in memory of Mrs. Brooxie Wilkins.

The family requires masks worn during all visitation and during the funeral service. The family also requests no food or drinks brought to the funeral home.
