Keeton, Albert F. Albert F. was born August 6, 1835, in what was Perry County and is now Decatur County. His father, Robert Keeton, a native of Lexington, KY, was one of the first settlers of Decatur County, locating at Shannonville. Robert was a physician practicing for 40 years in Tennessee. He married a cousin, Catherine Keeton of Franklin, TN. They were the parents of 11 children, Albert being the 7th. Only 5 were living at the time of the writing : Julia M., widow of Thomas Garrett ; Adaline A, widow of Dr. Clardy, of Shelby County, TX ; Marquis D. Lafayette of Decatur County ; and Sophronia, widow of F. N. Jobe, living near Saltillo, Hardin County. October 5, 1858, Albert married Paralee White of Mississippi who was raised in Decatur County. They were the parents of 3 children : William R., Lucy A., and Eulla U. In January, 1886, he went into hotel-keeping in Center. Mr. and Mrs. Keeton and 2 daughters were members of the Methodist Church. Mr. Keeton wass a Mason and a Republican.
