Leonard Dean Osborne

June 21, 1933 - February 24, 2015

Leonard Dean Osborne, 81, of Benton Harbor, passed away Tuesday, February 24, 2015 at Lakeland Regional Medical Center.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2:00 P.M. Monday, March 2, 2015 at Starks & Menchinger Chapel, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph. Rev. Chris Noffke of Zion United Church of Christ of Baroda will be officiating with burial to follow at North Shore Memory Gardens. Friends may visit from 1:00 until 2:00 P.M. prior to the service. Leonard was born June 21, 1933 in Pinckneyville, Illinois, to Alva and Clara (Laymann) Osborne. He proudly served his country in the United States Army. Leonard worked as an Interior Decorator and for many years worked at Benton Harbor Tent and Awning. He enjoyed woodworking and had a wonderful sense of humor.

He is survived by his son, Leonard (Esther) Osborne, II of Gobles, MI; a brother, Bill Osborne of Benton Harbor, MI; four grandchildren, Troy Osborne of Grand Rapids, MI, Thomas Osborne, Michael McDonald, and Orion McDonald all of Gobles, MI; a niece, Charlene Brady; a nephew, Mark Osborne; great-nieces, Dawn Gettig and Jennifer Brady and many other nieces, nephews and friends.

Leonard was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers; Kenneth Osborne and Allen Nickens and two sisters; Ettabelle Baker and Edna Dubar.
