Gail LeMay Brasher peacefully passed away on July 27th, 2017 surrounded by her loving family: her husband Larry and their daughters, Michelle and Laura. Gail LeMay Brasher was born in Decaturville, Tennessee on August 20th, 1943 to Jack LeMay, a riverboat captain on the Tennessee River, and Grace LeMay, a homemaker. Her family moved to Perryville, Tennessee as a young child. They later moved to Parsons, Tennessee where she graduated from Parsons High School in 1961. After high school, she attended Jackson Business College while Larry attended the University of Tennessee Martin. Gail married Larry Brasher on September 8th, 1963 in Decatur County, Tennessee. After being married, they moved to the University of Tennessee Knoxville for Larry to graduate with a degree in chemical engineering. Larry's job then took them to many locations in which Gail established loving homes for her family, including Alabama where their daughter, Michelle was born and Louisiana where their daughter, Laura was born. Gail and family lived for four years in Stavanger, Norway and three years in West Byfleet, England. Her love of travel, her opportunities to meet new people, and experience new cultures was a treasured time. Gail had a love of the Lord and shared her faith with all people she came in contact with throughout her life. Gail had a love of life and saw the blessings of the Lord in all forms, especially when outdoors. She saw the beauty in everyday life, was passionate about helping others through outreach programs at her church and preparing meals for people in times of need. Gail is survived by her husband of 53 years, Larry; daughters, Michelle Swanson and her husband, Lloyd Swanson, Laura Sampson and her husband, Robert Sampson. Grandchildren, Craig and Kyle Swanson, Noah and Catherine Sampson. Siblings, Howard and the late Nancy LeMay of Parsons, Tennessee, Paul and Diann LeMay of Hoover, Alabama, Joe and Beth LeMay of Dyersburg, Tennessee, and Jan and the late Lauren Scobee of Big Spring, Texas.
