Officiating will be Stephen Sutton and the service will be followed by military honors. Deputy Butler died Thursday, December 16, 2021. He was born July 6, 1990, to Danny C. Butler and Teresa Lay Sullender, in Knoxville, TN. He was a United States Army Veteran and served alongside his step-father during the Iraq war. Deputy Butler is survived by his mother, Teresa Sullender (John); father, Danny C. Butler; brother, Joshua Butler; sister Sarah Newsom (Kristopher); maternal grandparents, Albert and Debbie Lay; nephews, Alex Elder, Austin Elder, Daniel Butler, Jackson Butler; nieces, Emalyn Newsom and Olivia Newsom. Visitation for family and friends will be held at Alamo First Baptist Church the day of the service from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00p.m. In lieu of flowers the family has asked that donations be made to N.O.A.H. or to the Carl Perkins Civic Center.
