He was born on July 28, 1921 in Cullman Ala and died only 200 yards from where he was born. He was a D-Day survivor and also survived the Battle of the Bulge in 1944. He served as a Combat Engr with the 3rd Army, 246th Combat Engr Battalion. He was retired from Wilson Foods. He was quite a fiddler to boot.
