JAMES LLOYD IVEY Funeral services for James Lloyd Ivey, 81, of Parsons were held Friday, January 27, 2012 in the chapel of Oakdale Funeral Home-Decatur County with Greg Stanford and Arthur Bain officiating. Interment followed at Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Mr. Ivey passed away Tuesday, January 24, 2012 at his residence in Parsons. He was born February 20, 1930 to the late Perry Ivey and Lela Bertie Ivey in Decatur County. Lloyd was a self-employed oil distributor, attended Parsons First Methodist Church and was a veteran of the United States Army. In addition to his parents, Lloyd was preceded in death by one daughter, Deborah Ivey. He is survived by his wife, Anne Montgomery Ivey; two daughters, Angie Smith and her husband Robert of Nashville and Jan Allen and her husband Charles of Parsons; two honorary daughters, Lynne Dungan of Decaturville and Kattie Gale Watson; one brother, John William Ivey and his wife, Joyce of Belzoni, Miss. Other survivors include four grandchildren, Haley Siler, TiAnna and her husband Sgt. Keith Hale, Logan Smith, and Airman Jacob Siler; and three great-grandchildren, Zach, Kaley, Anne and Nathan. Serving as pallbearers were Zach Smith, Michael Harris, Michael Watson, Drew Watson, Mike Ivey and Logan Smith. Honorary pallbearers were Larry Nubin Fisher, Tommy Arnold, Kenneth Goff, Bobby Rhodes, Glenn Wallace and Sgt. Keith Hale. |
