Virginia Shutt was born in Hardin County, Tennessee on October 7, 1927 the daughter of the late Homer and Myrtle Handley Hodge.
On October 13, 1945 she was united in marriage to Joe Frank Shutt who preceded her in death on April 19, 2000.
During her life she was a homemaker and a member of the First Cumberland Presbyterian Church.
Mrs. Shutt departed this life on Saturday, December 8, 2007 at the age of 80 years, 2 months, 1 day.
She is survived by a daughter: Mary Jane Rainwater of Savannah, Tennessee; 2 sons: Bob Shutt and Sammy Shutt of Savannah, Tennesssee; a sister: Annie Harrison of Savannah, Tennessee; a brother: James Homer Hodge of Savannah, Tennessee; 9 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband and parents she was preceded in death by a daughter: Ruth Ann Shutt; a brother: Joe Hodge; 2 sisters: Katherine Williams and Robbie House.
