She was the widow of World War II veteran, William Carl Butler, Jr. Mrs. Butler is survived by a daughter, Betty (Geary) Maness of Decaturville; two sons, Jerry (Linda) Butler of Gainesville, GA and Larry (Viki) Butler, of Tuscumbia, AL. Funeral services were held at Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church in Bath Springs, Tenn. at 12 p.m. on Saturday, December 24, 2016. Burial followed at Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Rev. Denny Broadway conducted the service and Betty Butler Maness delivered the eulogy. Her nephews served as pallbearers. Reed’s Chapel in Decaturville was in charge of all arrangements.

Mary Lynn remembers Papa Lancaster sitting either on the front porch on the homemade willow furniture or in the winter time inside by the fire place. She remembers Mama Lancaster with her ever smiling face. Mama Lancaster was always happy to see anyone who came to see her.

Mary Lynn remembers while a group of cousins were together playing, we got permission to go across the corn field to visit Uncle Curry and Aunt Betty. Before we reached our destination, we missed my little sister Melba. All of us went back to find her and she had fell asleep in a corn middle holding a baby doll.
