Life Legacy

Mrs. Marilyn Kay Ivey McKelvey age 63 of Jackson, formerly of Decatur County, passed away Tuesday, July 24, 2018 in Jackson Madison County General Hospital.

She was born August 30, 1954 in Decatur County to the late Woodrow Ivey and Willie Paul Kindle Ivey. Mrs. McKelvey was a retired RN. She touched so many lives. Not just through her medical career but all who came into contact with her. She was both beautiful on the inside and outside with a loving, caring heart.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Sharon Ivey Alexander.

Survivors include a daughter, Meghan Harris and husband Jake of Woodstock, GA; son, Luke McKelvey of Douglasville, GA; sister, Susan Conrad of Parsons; two brothers, Rodney Ivey of Camden and Nick Ivey of Decaturville. Other survivors include two grandchildren, Jack and Aaryn.

Services for Mrs. McKelvey will be conducted Saturday, August 4, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. in the Sanctuary of Mt. Lebanon United Methodist Church in Decaturville with Bro. James Smith officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Lebanon Church Cemetery. The McKelvey family will receive friends on Saturday at the Church from 11:00 a.m. until the service hour.
