Obituary for Harold Lloyd Shelby Harold Lloyd Shelby, age 84, of Porter, IN, passed away on Thursday, August 24, 2017. He was born on March 5, 1933 in Reeves, TN to Willard & Josie (Weeks) Shelby, whom preceded him in death. Harold is survived by his sons, Fred (Maureen) Shelby of Marietta, GA, Ron Shelby of Wheatfield, IN, Mike (Sherry) Shelby of Kingsford Heights; daughter, Lisa Shelby of Porter; grandchildren, Steffanie, Ryan, Amanda, Jessie, Jessica, Hank, Aaron, Mitchell, Matthew and 9 great grandchildren . He was preceded in death by his wife, Joan Shelby; son, Jeff Shelby; 3 brothers & 3 sisters. Harold retired after 25 years of service at US Steel and was a United States Army Veteran. Family and music were his life, he loved playing the guitar. A few of Harold’s favorite country singers were, Ernest Tubb and Hank Williams Sr. Harold loved the St. Louis Cardinals and the Chicago Cubs and also his 3 dogs, all named Bozo. Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, August 26, 2017 at 1:00 pm at Edmonds & Evans Funeral Home, 6941 Central Ave., Portage, IN 46368, with Pastor Rodney Rudd officiating. Burial to follow at Heritage Cemetery, Portage, IN. Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 26, 2017 from 11:00 am until the time of service at 1:00 pm at the Funeral Home. |
