On February 1, 2017, heaven rejoiced as God brought another angel home. Wilburn Taylor Tuten was born October 4, 1936 in Decaturville, TN. He passed away Wednesday evening after a long illness. Wilburn was 80 years old. He served his country in the U.S. Army before becoming a welder for the pipeline for over 40 years. He was preceded in death by all his siblings. Two sisters, Willow Dean Butler and Jo Evelyn Curry and two brothers, Jerald and Robert Tuten. He is survived by his companion of 30 years, Bonnie Maness, two sons, Kendall and Mark Tuten and three daughters, Teresa Morris (Glenn) of Bartlett, Robin Tuten-Council Cooper (Joel) of Jackson, and Darlene Vandevander-Coleman (Dave) of Virginia. He is also survived by nine grandchildren: Shelley Finch (Lexington), Amanda Soto Phipps ( Little Rock, AR ) Kendall S. Tuten ( Hendersonville, TN )Lindsey Morris ( Bartlett ), Jeremy Vandevander (VA ) Tiffany Vandevander- Coffey ( Lexington )Tyler Coleman, Stormy Coleman, Haley Tuten ( all of VA ) and a step-granddaughter Kenlee Austin-Cooper ( Clarksville, TN ). Also, he is survived by six great grandchildren: Jasmine, Taylor, Levi, Hemi, August, and Marissa. Funeral services will be on Sunday, February 5 at 3PM at Reed’s Chapel in Lexington with burial to follow in Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Bath Springs. Visitation will be on Sunday from 12PM till service.
