David was the son of the late Rube and Carrie Haney. He is survived by one brother, Donald Haney of El Paso, Texas. David graduated with DHS Class of 1959. He received his Bachelor of Science degree from Memphis State University. He worked briefly in Decaturville and Memphis. David traveled many parts of the United States for 25 years until his health declined. David passed away October 14, 2010 at the age of 68.
