In 1754 David and Magdelin Adkins gave 100 acres to their son William. In 1766, William sold the same tract of land (having purchased 465 acres the previous year in Halifax Co. VA near the NC line) and signed his name "Adkisson." The deed mentions the boundary of David Adkisson. William moved there after selling his Henrico Co. property. Continuous records of his presence in that county are present until his death in 1801. Several other Henrico natives moved to the same area as William Adkisson. |
