son of William H. Baskin and Rebecca Belt, circa 1844. She
married, second, Timothy Cade.
iii. Isaac Edward Brashears. Born, circa 1828, in Roane Co., T N.
Died, before 1863, in IL. He married Amanda T. Porter, daughter
of Thoma s Brantley Porter and Mary Covington, circa 1850.
Isaac Brashears died in a smallpox epidemic while moving
his family to IL to escape the war. His wife, also stricken,
recovered and she and the children returned to Johnson Co. AR.
iv. Rachel Ellender Brashears. Born, circa 1831, in Roane Co., TN.
Died, 1870, in AR. She married Willis D. Hayes, circa 1851.
v. Margaret Perm elia Brashears. Born, circa 1833, in Johnson Co.,
AR. Died, 25 Dec 1867. She married George McKee, 7 Oct 1855.
vi. Lucy Malinda Brashears. Born, cir ca 1835, in AR. Died, circa
1917, in Clarkswille, Johnson Co., AR. She marrie d Elisha Meers,
28 Sep 1858.
vii. Nancy Tabitha Cunie Brashears. Born, circa 1838, in AR. She
married Robert Crockett Laster, son of Samuel Harriso n Laster
and Nancy Smith. - ?????[3] Brashears (Isaac, 2).

1873, in Ro ane Co., TN.
Charles Brashear of San Diego, CA, writes: Robert Samuel Roberts
volunteered for military service in the War of 1812. he enrolled in capt. Jo hn
Mckamey's Company Nov. 13, 1814 at Washington, Rhea Co., TN. Her served as
Sergeant in the 5th TN Militia, and was honorably discharged at Kingston, TN on
May 15, 1815. In 1821 Robert Samuel is listed on the Militia Rolls in Capt .
johnson's Company, as are his brothers Edward C. and Phillip."
