Known as "Bill", my father was born on September 15, 1945, in Detroit, Michigan. He was the only child of Dallas and Clementine Keating. He first married my mother, Judith, on August 31, 1964. They were together until spring of 1965, and then they separated. They divorced shortly after I was born in November 1965. Bill's second wife was Elsie (Palmer) Keating. They married on October 14, 1967; Elsie was 18 and from Bloomfield. Bill and Elsie had one child, William Robert Keating, Jr. They always called him "Booger", which he still answers to today at age 36. I call him Billy, 'cause I refuse to call him "Booger". Billy was born in August of 1969. Billy now lives in Eunice, NM, with his wife, Angie, and their two children, Shelby, a son, age 13, and Brittany, a daughter, age 12. They are Angie's children from a previous marriage, but I believe Billy has adopted them. Elsie divorced bill in late 1991-early 1992, I believe. She married Jim Fry of Bloomfield and they live in Aquilla now. Elsie and I talk very frequently. |
