Shared note	Funeral services for Mrs. Gertrude Leatha Montgomery, age 89, will be held Friday, February 22, 2002 at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Pafford Funeral Home at Scotts Hill. Rev. Irene Chandler will officiate and burial will follow at Sardis Cemetery. Mrs. Montgomery, a lifelong resident of Sardis died Wednesday, February 20 in Lexington after a long illness. She was the daughter of the late Marc and Lector Stanfill Wade. She was a retired cook at Sardis High School and a member of the Sardis Methodist Church. She is survived by 2 sons: Melvin Montgomery of Sardis and Wayne Montgomery of Bartlett; a sister, Mrs. Meleria Bancom and a brother, Cletus Wade of Sardis both of Sardis; 4 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
