Lacy, Hortense Ross March 30, 1961 Services for Mrs. Hortense Ross Lacy, 65, wife of J. H. Lacy, retired railroad employee, were yesterday at Pafford Funeral Home with burial in Lexington Cemetery. She died shortly after noon Monday, apparently of a heart attack after an illness of two weeks. She was the daughter of the late William H. Ross, a former chief of police, and Mrs. Mollie Barber Ross. She was a Methodist and a member of the Eastern Star. In addition to her husband, she leaves two daughters, Miss Marie Lacy of Lexington and Mrs. Alene Messing of San Francisco; a son, William E. Lacy of Kingsport; a sister, Mrs. A. P. Brown of Atlanta; two brothers, Curtis Ross of Mercer and Carlos Ross of Owensboro, Kentucky. |
