Mr. John Moore fathered 12 children. He and Ms. Flora Butler Marr Moore had six children; with Ms. Emie V. Moore he had five children and with Ms. Amanda Culp Moore had one child. In addition to these 12 children, when he married Ms. Mandy he became the stepfather of her seven children.
Mr. John worked as a carpenter, a blacksmith and the owner of a molasses mill. He worked hard to make a living for his large family. At one point Mr. John and Ms. Mandy had 15 children in their household.
John Moore and his first wife Emie V. Moore(daughter of John Jasper Ivey) had children Arthur, Mary, Mack, Etty, Edgar.
In the 1910 census, Flora E. Marr with sons, Robert and Lector, is living in the household of her father, Christopher C. Butler.
