Jesse was born March 20, 1925, a daughter of the late John Henry and Flora Butler Marr Moore. She was born and raised in Decatur County where she married the love of her life, Habert Tucker on December 24, 1943. They moved to Jackson, Tennessee in 1953. Jessie retired in 1985 from Oakley Fashions. She was a member of Pleasant Springs United Methodist Church in Chester County, where she and Habert faithfully served from 1958 until death. Jessie was a very kind and gentle soul; she had a loving and generous heart. She was a great cook and shared her gift with family and friends. She was predeceased by her beloved husband of 56 years, Habert Tucker, in 2000; her parents, John and Flora Moore; her step-mother, Amanda Butler Culp Moore; siblings, Georgia Moore Bennett, Troy, Perry, Roger and J. T. She leaves her loving memories to be cherished by her daughters and their husbands, Kathy and Jere Pitts, Katie and Tony Davis; granddaughters, Jennifer (Billy) Burkhead, Joy (Keith) Duck and Kristi Pitts; great-grandchildren, Camryn and Clark Burkhead, Zachery Pitts, Dustin and Preston Duck and Abigail Parks, whom she loved like a grandchild; three sisters-in-law; and a host of nieces and nephews. Services were held Sunday, September 6, 2015 at 3:00 p.m. at Reed’s Chapel Funeral Home in Decaturville, Tennessee with Bro. Josh Cantrell officiating, assisted by Rev. Dr. Stephen Coombs, Jennifer Burkhead and Lisa Webb. Burial followed at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Decatur County. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren served as pallbearers. The family would like to extend our gratitude to Linda Gibbons, Vickie Davis, Dr. Carlton Hays and Hospice of West Tennessee, specifically those on our special Hospice team for their loving care. Many thanks to our friends and family for their loving support and to Reed’s Chapel Funeral Home for their caring assistance.
