In the 1920 and 1930 census, Leonie is living in the Oval M. Keeton household. Oval M. and Flora M. Keeton raised Leonie after her mother died. Leonie Butler Montgomery, PARSONS Visitation will be Saturday, January 22, 2005, from 4:00 pm till 10:00 pm and Sunday 11:00 am till service. Funeral services will be held at Parsons Mortuary Chapel at 2:00 pm on Sunday, January 23, 2005. Services will be conducted by Bro. Bobby Wood and Bro. Greg Stanford. Burial will follow in Kelly Cemetery. She was a member of Keeton Springs Methodist Church. She is survived by two daughters, Patsy Tidwell (Tony) of Jackson, TN and Elizabeth Pierce (Ray) of Beech Bluff, TN. She is also survived by five grandsons, Shane Pierce (Tanya), Enville, TN, Brent Tidwell (Michelle), Lexington, TN, Damon Pierce (Susan), Jackson, TN, Clay Pierce (Becky), Henderson, TN, and Bradley Tidwell, Jackson, TN, and four great-grandchildren, Kelsey Pierce, Zachary Tidwell, Cody Pierce and Tyler Pierce and Kelsey's sister, Heather who is due the 27th of January, and two step-great grandchildren Miranda Cotten and Aaron Merchant. She is also survived by a half sister and half brother, Mexine Lomax (Herman), and Max Ray Butler (Edna Mae). She was preceded in death by her husband Thomas Jake Montgomery; her parents and step mother, a half sister and a half brother, and Flora and Oval Keeton, her maternal aunt, who raised her from birth due to the death of her mother during childbirth.
