Denny Clark Broadway, born October 18, 1950. Enlisted in the USMC in 1970 and served as chaplain's assistant, 8th Comm. Bn. Military locations, stations were Camp Lejeune, NC, and Camp Pendleton, CA. Discharged in 1972 with the rank of E-3. Awarded the Rifleman and Pistol Sharpshooter Medals. Memorable events: Holding religious services while in the field for commanding officers and the day he got out. Memorable events after leaving the service: Meeting with Vice President George Bush in 1984 in the Indian Treaty Room at the White House. The birth of his son, Rodney, February 25, 1972.
