Mary Lynn Butler Obituary Mary Lynn Butler, 94, of Decaturville, Tenn., passed away Wednesday, December 21, 2016 at her home. She was a homemaker and a member of Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church. She worked at Salant and Salant prior to the birth of her first child but dedicated her life to God, her husband and the raising of three children who all became graduate engineers. She was an award winning cook and seamstress with many county fair blue ribbons to show for her efforts. She was the widow of World War II veteran, William Carl Butler, Jr. Mrs. Butler is survived by a daughter, Betty (Geary) Maness of Decaturville; two sons, Jerry (Linda) Butler of Gainesville, GA and Larry (Viki) Butler, of Tuscumbia, AL. She is also survived by three grandchildren, Samuel (Celina Bragagnolo) Butler, Daniel (Jill) Butler and Angie (Andy) Atwood; and eight great-grandchildren, Mary Lynn remembers Papa Lancaster sitting either on the front porch on the homemade willow furniture or in the winter time inside by the fire place. She remembers Mama Lancaster with her ever smiling face. Mama Lancaster was always happy to see anyone who came to see her. Mary Lynn remembers while a group of cousins were together playing, we got permission to go across the corn field to visit Uncle Curry and Aunt Betty. Before we reached our destination, we missed my little sister Melba. All of us went back to find her and she had fell asleep in a corn middle holding a baby doll.
