Note: Sarah Mildred Lacy Crawley, 96, of Decaturville, TN, passed away Tuesday, August 8th, at Decatur Co. General Hospital. Sarah Mildred Lacy Crawley, 96, of Decaturville, TN, passed away Tuesday, August 8th, at Decatur Co. General Hospital. She retired from the garment factory and then worked several years at Decatur County Library. Mrs. Crawley was a 1940 graduate of Decatur Co. High School, was a member of Mt. Lebanon Methodist Church and a 50+ year member of the Eastern Star. Ms. Mildred is survived by a daughter, Gail (Rick) Story, of Decaturville, a Granddaughter, Jill (Louis) Roberts, of Hendersonville, two Great Grandchildren, James Brayden & John Conner Roberts, many nieces and nephews and her nursing home buddies. She was preceded in death by her husband, John W. Crawley, her parents, Wesley Green and Flora Mae Sewell Lacy, and a sister, Eula Mae Lacy Fisher. Her Funeral Service will be held at Reed's Chapel, Decaturville, TN, at 2 PM on Friday, August 11th, with Pastor Larry Parrish and Pastor Cathy Oakes officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Lebanon Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday 11 AM - 9 PM and Friday 11 AM until service at Reed's Chapel - Decaturville. In lieu of flowers, donations are requested to Mt. Lebanon Church/Cemetery or Decatur County Library. |
