Note: Wilma Aaron Moore 1928-2011 Wilma Aaron Moore 1928-2011 Wilma Aaron Moore, 82, of Sparta, passed away Jan. 22, 2011, at White County Community Hospital. Mrs. Moore was born Aug. 11, 1928, in Decaturville, to Edward and Flossie Welch Aaron. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Dr. Maurice Moore; and a sister. Survivors include one daughter, Amy Johnson and husband Tim, of Sparta; son, Maurice (Reece) Moore, of Jacksonville, Ala.; sister, JoAnn Aaron-Crosby, of Florida; five grandchildren, Jessica, Jenni and Joel Johnson, Riley and Ryan Moore; and three great-grandchildren, Chloe, Caden and Carter. Funeral services will be 1 p.m., Jan. 26, 2011, at Oak Lawn Funeral Home with burial in Oak Lawn Cemetery. The Rev. Drew Shelley will officiate. The family will receive friends 11 a.m.-1 p.m., Jan. 26, at the funeral home. Oak Lawn Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements |

Note: Jo Ann Aaron-Crosby Jo Ann Aaron-Crosby Jo Ann Aaron-Crosby passed peacefully on June 9 at 2 a.m. in Palm Bay, Florida at the age of 79. She was born in Decatur County, Tennessee in January 1, 1942 to Edward N. Aaron and Flossie Welch Aaron. She graduated from Decaturville High School in 1959 and Orangeburg General Hospital Nursing School in 1964. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She had a long career in nursing working many different positions including traveling nurse, critical care nurse, and nurse manager. Jo Ann was dedicated to ensuring the best care for her patients and their families. She was outgoing and never met a stranger. She had a generous heart and could not see a person in need and not offer help. She taught her children many wonderful traits through her example. She was preceded in death by her parents; her sisters, Wilma Moore of Sparta, Tenn. and Nancy (age four at time of death); and her beautiful daughter, Julianna Crosby. She is survived by her daughters, Janice Grindley of Palm Bay, Florida, Carol Crosby Pedigo (Patrick) of Murfreesboro, Tenn. and Joanna Crosby-Vazquez {Ricardo) of McMinnville, Tenn.; ll grandchildren, Melinda Mills, Joseph Mills, Timothy Mills (Deborah), Julie-Hannah Mills, Kristen Pedigo Overturf (Josh), Rachel Pedigo, Joshua Brandon Crosby-Vazquez {Laura), Jasmine Wood {Travis), Shelby Vazquez, Gabrielle “Skylar” Vazquez and Quentin Vazquez (Maddie); niece, Amy Moore Johnson (Tim); and nephew, Reece Moore (Lisha). She is also survived by eight great-grandchildren and multiple great-nieces and great-nephews. There will be a memorial service in McMinnville, Tenn. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on Underwood Road on July 10 at 10 a.m., followed by burial in Decatur County at Decaturville City Cemetery at 5 p.m. |
