Sybern Washinton Riggs, born February 15, 1924. Enlisted in the U. S. Army June 14, 1944, and served with 9th Inf. Div. Arty., as a automotive mechanic. Countries served in: Germany, Nov. 13, 1944 - June 1, 1946. Discharged June 5, 1949 with rank of technican fouth grade. Battles in which he participated: Rhineland Central Europe. Awarded the Combat Infantryman Badge, EAME Theater Ribbon w/2 Bronze Stars, Good Conduct Medal, Victory Medal WWII and Army of Occupation Medal Germany. Sybern passed away February 12, 1991. He was the son of Walter Herbert and Esther Mae |
