Lindsey Leander Crawford (17 Apr 1850 - Sept 1934) S/o John B. Crawford (23 Apr 1810 - 29 July 1876) and his 2nd wife Rutha Anne ALLISON (6 Mar 1818 - 24 Jan 1886). John B. Crawford went from Ala. to Miss. and lastly to La. Lindsey L. was born in Winston Co. Miss. John B. Crawford reportedly had two children by his first wife but there's no documentation. Children of John B. and Rutha are: Asbury, married and had children, two known are Annie GRIGG and Garland Crawford.; Robert married Jane MOORE; Governor married Emma GREEN, had Dr. Charlie Crawford, Sadie HUNTER, Hettie RUFF, Lutie RUFF, Lizzie HORTON.; Samantha Emma married William T. BURKETT and had Walter Herbert, Arthur Herman, Vaden Vincent, Aaron Artemus, girl died at birth; Lindsey L. served CSA, Co A 28th Regt. La. Inf. He was only 15 when he enlisted 15 Sept 1864 at Sparta. Married Marsaline Samantha MIXON (1856 - 1929) d/o Obiediah Z. MIXON (1821 - ) and Vienna PAGE (31 Jan 1827 - 8 Mar 1836)(These dates must be wrong). Mixon children are: Edward Alonzo married Rosena PULLIN; Frances Izora married Joseph Marion ROBINSON, Louella married Allen C. JONES, Emily married Jack TAYLOR, Rozella Mae married William Buchanan SHIVELY, Ben, Talitha married Henry DYESS and Marsaline. Obiediah served CSA, C Co 2nd Miss. Inf. as a corporal. His parents were born in S.Car. Children of Lindsey L. and Marsaline are:
