Shared note	In the 1850 census, Jefferson Davis, age 20, hired hand is living in the Thomas Crawford household. I have no direct evidence that Thomas Crawford is the son of James Peter Crawford. Other researchers have identified Peter Crawford as the father of Thomas Crawford. I discount this since Peter Crawford did not name Thomas as a son in his will. Thomas was born in SC after Peter moved to Georgia. Since all of James Peter's children except for Peter were born in SC, I am tentatively identifying Thomas Crawford as the son of James Peter Crawford while I continue my research.
