Naomi M. Shelby, 81 of Newbern, Tennessee died on Tuesday, November 27, 2012, at Baptist Hospital in Union City, Tennessee
Born Friday, February 27, 1931 in Bogota, Tennessee, she was the daughter of the late Dewey Maupin and the late Ila Hopper Maupin.
She was a Home -Maker and Member of the Northview Church of Christ.
Funeral services for Mrs. Shelby will be 11:00 AM, Friday in the Chapel of Johnson-Williams Funeral Home. Officiating this service will be Mr. Larry Joe Maupin and Rev. Marvin Maupin. Interment will follow in Church Grove Cemetery. Visitation for Mrs. Shelby will be Thursday from 4:00 PM-7:00 PM at Johnson-Williams Funeral Home.
She is survived by one son Steven Shelby and his wife Laura of Newbern, Tennessee; a daughter-in-law Sue Shelby of Dyersburg, Tennessee; 5 Grandchildren and 7 Great-Grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband Alton Shelby; one son, Danny Shelby and two brothers, Calvin Maupin and Neal Maupin.
Pallbearers will be Andrew James Speed, Mark Warden, Donnie Bailey, Eric Maupin, Andy Butler, Mark Maupin and Stefan Maupin. Honorary pallbearers will be Jerry Maupin, Barry Maupin, Jackie Gregory and Glen Davis.
