This is the William Rushing, Jr., of the 1790 census in Anson County, North Carolina, and the elder of the two William Rushing Juniors in the 1800 census in Anson County.

The following is a deed recorded on page 272 of Anson County Deed Book H:

"To all people to whom these presents shall come I William Rushing of the State of North Carolina in the County of Anson, PLANTER, for and in consideration of the love and good will and affection which I have and do bear towards my son William Rushing of the same state and county have given and grant & by these presents do freely give and grant unto the said William Rushing his heirs executors or administrators all and singular about fifty acres of land taken from my survey of four hundred acres beginning at a black walnut by the fork of the little creek & running near a north course to another line of which (before the signing of these presents) I have delivered him the said William Rushing an inventory signed with my own hand bearing date 1781 to have and to hold all the said land to him the said William Rushing his heirs executors or administrators from henceforth to be his property asolutely without any manner of condition in witness whereof I hereunto set my hand & seal the seventeenth day of August one thousand seven hundred and eighty one signed sealed and delivered in presence of Joseph Friffeth [Griffeth?] Noah Rushing. Wm. Rushing (seal).
