William "Buck" Bolin, born August 28, 1823. Served in the Civil War. It has been confirmed by Confederate military records on file in Mississippi that William Bolin was a member of the 3rd Regt. of Mississippi Bn. CSA and served as a private in Co. D of that Battalion. Discharged with the rank of private.

Buck passed away January 23, 1892, and is buried at Mt. Lebanon Cemetery, Decatur County, Decaturville, TN. He was the son of Joseph and Sophie (Cooper) Bolin. He married Mary E. Convoy and had two children, Mary and Martin. He also had seven grandchildren: Maggie M. Kindle; William-John and Jim Moore; Ora M. Ivey; John and Clyde Bolin; and Mary B. Kindle.
