Crossing the Dark River Montgomery, Thomas Elmer (The Lexington Progress, August 31, 1945) Thomas Elmer Montgomery, 56, son of the late W. H. and Mrs. Montgomery, died August 26th, 1945, at Bolivar, where he had been for 27 years. He was born at Sardis, and when a young man, moved to Lexington when his father established a mercantile business, and where he remained until conditions necessitated his going to Bolivar 27 years ago. He is survived by one sister, Mrs. Herman Conyers of Henderson, and one brother, Ernest Montgomery, of Washington, D. C., and a step-sister, Mrs. John A. McCall, of Lexington. Burial was made in Lexington Cemetery. |
