Anna E. Kindle Fisher Moore

Anna E. Kindle Fisher Moore, 97, went home to be with Jesus on Friday, Feb. 4, 2022, surrounded by her loving family. Anna was born on Oct. 17, 1924 to Tina Kindle at her family’s homeplace in Decatur County, Tennessee, also known as the “Old Place.”

Anna held an unwavering faith in God which she shared with those who surrounded her. She stood on her favorite Bible verse throughout her life: (Proverbs 3: 5-6) “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him and he will make your paths straight.” She always reminded her family to read their Bible, go to church and pray.

Anna is the “Keeper of Memories” for her family, friends, and community. She often spent time sharing stories of days past as well as creating books that held pictures, genealogy, and important life events. She enjoyed cooking for her family and friends as they laughed and talked about their lives. She also loved to work in her garden and flower beds, share stories, songs, and popcorn nights with her grandchildren and reading her Bible.

Anna was preceded in death by her mother, Tina Kindle; first husband, Sidney Fisher; second husband, R.B. Moore; and great grandchildren, AnaClaire and Elijah Steele.

She is survived by her children, Judy (Larry) Thornton of Decaturville and Mike (Tonia) Fisher of Parsons; five grandchildren, Angela (Shane) Steele, Andrea (Jonathan) Johnson, Lindsey (Michael) Turner, Brandon Fisher, Brittany Fisher, Ashton Wallace and Aaron Wallace; and eight great-grandchildren. Anna had the privilege of loving on her bonus children: Lynn, Robert, Bobby, David, Sheila, Danny, Dwight and their children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren

Funeral services will be on Monday, Feb. 7, 2022 at 3 p.m. at Reed's Chapel in Decaturville with Greg Eaton and Keith Kirk officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Lebanon Cemetery.

Visitation will be held Sunday from 5 to 8 p.m. and Monday 12 p.m. until service.

The family requests no food be brought to the funeral home and face masks are optional.
