He spent 52 months in a Navy Air Transport Sqdn. on Hickam AFB, Oahu, HI. Awarded the Good Conduct Medal and National Defense Medal.

He is the son of Jesse M. and Besse E. Lacy. Married to Chloe (Moore) Lacy.
