Reaford Lancaster Tucker, born June 11, 1910. Enlisted in the U. S. Army January 22, 1941, and served as foreman for construction, Engineer Motor Transport. Countries served in were Philippine Islands, New Guinea, and Luzon. Discharged September 29, 1945, with rank of technical sergeant. Battles in which he participated included Philippine Liberation Campaign. Awarded Service Ribbon, American Defense Service Ribbon, three Bronze Service Stars, Good Conduct Medal and Philippine Liberation Ribbon w/2 bronze stars.

Memorable events after leaving service: Marriage in February 1946 and birth of two daughters. Reaford passed away March 5, 1976. He was the son of Dorsey and Molly (Duncan) Tucker. Married to Cordia (Beecam) Tucker and had two daughters, Brenda Lancaster and Vickie Tuten. He worked for Tennessee Dept. of Corrections.
