"And I love mine!", she states emphatically. "We think this is a good place and it is worth the time and effort to make it even better. I have really enjoyed serving on the city council." "We" is Butler and her husband, Ronnie of 32 years. Butler was born and raised in Decatur County and Ronnie is from Jackson. They have one daughter, Becky White, wife of Brian White and mother to Zane David White. The Whites live in Scotts Hill. Butler states without hesitation that her grandson is the "love of her life!". Butler works for the State Department of Health in Health Care Facilities out of Jackson. She supervises support staff throughout West Tennessee. Still, she finds time to promote Parsons and Decatur County at every turn. When the News Leader caught up with her, she had just returned from a trip to Nashville trying to secure funds for a loan to help the city extend a water supply pipeline from the Tennessee River inland to the city.
