THOMAS MONTGOMERY was born 1748 in Ireland. He married MARY PATTON in 1768 (daughter of John and Jane (Davis) Patton). He came to Pennsylvania in 1768 - 1769. After 1783 he came through KY to TN. Served in the PA Militia in the Revolutionary War. Buried in Baker's Creek Cemetery in Blount County. Grave has Govt. marker, Daughters of American Revolution marked 1976. (Baker's Creek Presbyterian Church and Cemetery located 10 miles south of Maryville, just off US 411 South on Old Niles Ferry Pike near Brick Mill).
