Funeral services for Mazle Montgomery, 88, were held Monday, October 20, 2014 at Old Center Methodist Church with Dennis Cordle, Wayne Holmes and Howard Russom officiating._ Interment followed at Old Center Cemetery. Mrs. Montgomery passed away Saturday, October 18, 2014 at Decatur County General Hospital.

Mrs. Montgomery was preceded in death by her husband, A. B. Montgomery; parents, Cordie Matheny Stafford and Rile Stafford; four brothers, Guy William Stafford, James Edward Stafford, Robert Lee Stafford and Riley Ray Stafford; six sisters, Cora Paschall, Lola Richardson, Dola Turner, Kay Hopper, Lois Grice and Jackie Pulley; and a grandson, Ryan Keeton.

Mrs. Montgomery is survived by her son David (Sherry) Keeton of Parsons; her daughters, Janice (Randy) Smart of Bath Spring and Diane Montgomery of Knoxville; three grandchildren, Shelley Taylor, Marty Stricklin and Kristen Smith; and seven great-grandchildren Karlee Stricklin, Jace Stricklin, Peyton Hamm, Pierson Hamm, Asa Smith, Grey Smith and Abby Hope Taylor.

Serving as pallbearers were Jerry Tharp, David Eason, Kyle Smith, David Taylor, Marty Stricklin and Paul Montgomery. Her nephew served as honorary pallbearer.
