Post Office Building to be Erected

Lexington Progress
November 27, 1908

The Post Office Department has accepted the bid of Judge T. A. Lancaster for a 10-year lease building for the Lexington Post Office and the work of erecting a 26 x 75 feet building will begin at once.  The front will be two-story and the structure a substantial one.  With new fixtures to cost approximately $2,300, when the post office occupies its new home, the business which has greatly grown since the incumbency of Dr. J. L. Murray, can be much more satisfactorily conducted.
