Ralph remembers going across the hollow to Papa and Mama Lancaster's in the winter time when the weather got bad. Papa Lancaster had a peg leg and couldn't get around when the weather got bad, so I would go and get the wood in and help Uncle Grady feed. My mother would tell me to stay until the weather was better.
Ralph remembers Mama Lancaster's coffee. Mama and Papa Lancaster would drink their coffee black and it was so strong I had half coffee and half milk.
