Kathleen Lancaster McBride

Kathleen remembers Jim Frank and her carried Mama and Papa Lancaster to see Mama Lancaster's sister Aunt Nannie Funderburk at Savannah lots of times. As were coming home we were passing this small graveyard in the woods on the side of the road. I asked Papa, "Do you know what kind of people are buried there?" Pap said "No, what kind?." I said "Dead ones." Papa and Mama Lancaster laughed and laughed.

Mrs. Rosie Kelly was picking cotton in front of our house so Mama Lancaster asked her the way to Decaturville and she was telling Mama Lancaster how to go when Daddy came around the corner, he said "Mama, what are you doing?" When Mrs. Kelly realized it was Mama Lancaster you should have heard her laugh.
